Gourmet Frugality.com was created to help you make the most of your budget. This site is for those who don’t fall into the typical “Extreme Couponer” niche, eating unhealthy, processed foods just because you can get them for free.
If you are interested in saving money on your grocery budget while still feeding your family high quality, minimally processed foods, then you’ve come to the right place! I will show you how to accomplish these goals through the strategic use of coupons and meal planning as well as providing you with frugal tips and deal ideas to help you on your journey.
You can also expect to be notified of hot deals, see previews of upcoming coupon inserts, see step-by-step posts of my shopping trips and much, much more!
I am Erin Cathcart, the force behind Gourmet Frugality. I am a stay-at-home mother of 2 wonderful children, Aidan (born April 2009) and Kiera (born November 2010). I started Gourmet Frugality because I have a passion for couponing in what I consider to be a “reasonable” manner. I love to get things for free and I love to use coupons to fit my family’s love for great food into our one-income budget.
I started couponing as a way to lower our grocery budget when we reduced our income by half. I have been able to decrease the amount our family spends on food by over 60%, while actually making our meals healthier.
When I’m not blogging and looking for deals, I’m playing with my kids and spending time with my husband. I love to read great books and look forward to my monthly book club meetings. I am an NHL Hockey fan, I enjoy watching a good movie (although I have a hard time watching movies more than once) and I probably spend a bit too much time on my iPhone.
I’d love to hear from you! Email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
